Gartmore takes on two new agencies

Fund manager Gartmore has appointed two new agencies as part of a review of its marketing.

Clark McKay and Walpole will be its new creative advertising agency and Media-Com will become its new media planning and buying agency.

The agencies won against competition from Gartmore&#39s previous media agencies Barnes Vereker and Ptar-migan Media.

The new agencies will play an active role in maximising Gartmore&#39s position in the retail financial services market through effective and high-profile marketing.

Head of retail marketing Jacqui Haskins and her team thought that Clark McKay and Walpole&#39s ideas showed new insights on the market and were backed by a strong creative execution.

MediaCom was selected for its ability to identify opportunities which would give Gartmore more original ways to build their profile through an increased focus on direct marketing.

Haskins says: “This is an exciting time for Gartmore and I am delighted to ann-ounce the appointment of our two new agencies. Their innovative responses to our marketing challenge will ensure our marketing continues to be leading-edge and progressive.

“Our planned marketing activities will continue to raise our profile in the retail marketplace through new and original ways to support IFAs and an increased focus on effective direct marketing.”
