Turning to the charges, Fleming, Both and Collins thinks the charges are reasonable, but Dilke-Wing thinks the annual management charge is high.
Moving onto commission, Both and Fleming think it is fair and reasonable. Collins says: “I like the way that Gartmore has not made provision for commission in the package. This suits our system of agreeing a fee with a client, which can then be taken as commission paid at the client's discretion.`'
Looking at the product literature, Dilke-Wing says: “The product literature is clear and presupposes a reasonable degree of investment literacy. I do not think that there is much chance of take up without professional advice because the structure of the trust needs explanation beyond the bare bones contained in the literature.” Fleming says: “It is easily read and uses clear, basic English.”
Collins says: “I am glad to see the trend towards literature that can be understood in continuity. The booklet is clear and informative and avoids jargon and the benefits are clearly laid out as are the main risks involved.”
