Gartmore appoints head of intermediary sales

Gartmore has announced the appointment of Warren Shiels to the new role of head of intermediary sales.

Shiels takes on the responsibility of distributing Gartmore’s funds to IFAs and third party distributors, including fund platforms and life companies.

He will report to Gartmore head of UK retail Richard Pursglove.

Sales managers Matt Frost and Nick Thiem will continue to focus on wealth managers, banks and multi-managers in London, and will also report to Pursglove.

Pursglove says: “We have successfully launched three new funds this year which have already attracted significant assets and have announced a number of key new fund manager appointments. Warren has been key to the positive momentum achieved so far this year and will be instrumental in building on this success in his new role.”
