Gallagher recruits former RSM Tenon director John White as COO

Arthur J Gallagher Employee Benefits & Wealth Management has appointed former RSM Tenon Financial Management managing director John White as chief operating officer.

White joins from accountancy firm Baker Tilly, where he headed up the financial management and employee benefit services division.

Arthur J Gallagher Employee Benefits UK chief executive Tim Johnson says: “We have recently undergone substantial growth and now that we are a team of almost 300 professionals, the time is right for us to inject some additional talent into the business.

“John is a key hire for us, and his extensive experience and ability will ensure we deliver operational excellence while maximising growth opportunities in both employee benefits and wealth management.”

In August, Money Marketing revealed Gallagher’s US parent had begun legal proceedings against former Oval advisers following disputes over client servicing rights.

Lawyers Ward Hadaway has been instructed to bring proceedings, which hinge on alleged breaches of restrictive covenants designed to prevent former Oval advisers taking clients after leaving the firm.
