Gale to be Misys IFA chief executive

Misys IFA Services has appointed Patrick Gale to its newly created position of chief executive. covering five networks and 4,200 registered individuals.

He is an internal candidate from the Misys group but was not part of its financial services arm.

Misys IFA Services has been left rudderless sincethe resignation of chairman Jim Gaskin in May which was revealed exclusively in Money Marketing.

Previously, Gale was head of marketing at technology company Midas Kapiti International, Misys&#39 biggest subsidiary, where he spent five years.

At MKI, Gale had overall responsibility for product strategy and marketing, and for e-commerce solutions for MKI clients.

In his new role, Gale will report directly to Misys insurance division chief executive Ivan Martin.

Misys IFA Services existing heads of departments, including sales and marketing director Max Wright and compliance director Raymond Fear, will report to Gale.

Misys IFA Services was set up in January as a support business for networks Countrywide, Kestrel, IFA Network, Financial Options and Investment Options. The five networks now have a total of more than 4,200 RIs between them.

Martin says: “Patrick&#39s appointment will bring fresh focus to our expanding networks&#39 business development activities and his broad experience will play a key part in the continuing success of Misys IFA Services.”
