FundsNetwork predicts record Isa season

Fidelity FundsNetwork has predicted a record Isa season in 2007 following the Government’s commitment to the vehicle and announcement on new switching rules.
The firm predicts Isa sales through its platform are likely to be more than 30 per cent higher than 2006.
Head of FundsNetwork David Dalton-Brown says: “With the renewed confidence in the future of Isas, and assuming stockmarket conditions remain relatively stable, we are confident that investors will have been positively encouraged to take better advantage of the tax benefits Isas clearly offer, alongside other key tax wrappers such as Sipps and investment bonds.
Already we have seen advisers significantly stepping up their activity around Isas – plus we have helped many adviser firms with their pre-Isa season marketing materials, including mailings and adviser support collateral, confirming our view that this season is likely to be one of the best yet.”
