Fundsdirect has struck deals with Synaptic and systems provider 1st Software to give direct access to the platform to more than 20,000 IFAs.
Fundsdirect says the integration of its platform with 1st Software's adviser office product – a client management system – will enable IFAs to link from their back office to its wrap service, which launches in the second quarter of 2004.
Advisers will be able to generate reports and key features documents as well as buy, sell and switch funds using data pre-populated from 1st Software's management system.
The deal with software provider Synaptic will enable advisers to use its product research tool, which it claims is used by 40 per cent of the IFA market, to link to Fundsdirect's wrap platform.
Fundsdirect says this will enable offline data to be downloaded online to carry out transactions and generate reports.
The deals follow those struck by Fundsdirect with Etrade and Personal Pension Management earlier this month.
Fundsdirect chief executive Sean Ewing says: “The integration of adviser office with the platform will enable advisers to trade, transact and have full reporting in an all-encompassing solution.”
Synaptic managing director Jeremy Fish says: “In today's challenging market environment, partnerships such as this will enrich the user experience and enhance the total business process for advisers.”
