Funds flow into commodities

Investors’ appetite for commodities increased throughout June as high amounts of cash flowed into Lyxor Asset Management’s exchange traded funds (ETFs).

The group has revealed data showing the Lyxor ETF Commodities CRB vehicles had a 57% monthly increase in fund inflows. About $176m (£106m) entered the fund in June, which was preceded by $112m in May.

Lyxor says this places the commodities ETF as the most popular in its global range, and that investors use ETFs as they make it easier to access commodity markets and have low charges.
