Fund managers quizzed in interactive broadcast

Cazenove Capital Management and Asset TV linked up last week to host the first interactive broadcast involving fund managers presenting and answering questions on five different asset classes.

All five managers run funds held within the £48m Cazenove multi-manager diversity fund, which is co-managed by Simon Wood and Mark Harries.

Over 300 intermediaries logged in to the 50-minute broadcast and registered over 30 questions which were put to the managers by Asset TV presenter Tony Suckling.

After a 10-minute introduction with Wood and Harries, the five underlying managers gave 10-minute interviews.

IAM fund of hedge funds manager Alan Djanogly was followed by BlackRock MLIM UK absolute alpha manager Mark Lyttleton, Scottish Widows Investment Partnership property fund manager Gerry Ferguson, Aegon extra-income bond fund manager David Roberts and then JP Morgan natural resources co-manager Nicole Vitesse.

Cazenove head of UK advisory sales Robert Thorpe says the seminar is available on the Asset TV website in 10 and 50-minute versions, and the entire video is accessible at Cazenove’s website.

He says it will also be distributed to Tenet advisers through the Tenet TV CD:Rom in January and to SimplyBiz advisers through its adviser workshops in the first quarter next year.

Thorpe says: “We are working to make it available through another two national IFA networks.”
