Fund firms on the road for IFAs

Four of the UK’s leading fund houses have joined forces for a nationwide series of IFA roadshows to be held across the country in January.

The shows will feature managers from Gartmore, M&G, Newton and Schroders.

Gartmore head of UK equ-ity income Chris Burvill will explain why he believes a different approach is required for the equity income sector because of today’s economic environment.

M&G head of equity investment David Jane and head of UK retail equities and man-ager of the M&G UK select fund Mike Felton will exp- lain how to keep risk down in more concentrated portfolios.

Jane and M&G recovery fund manager Tom Dobell will talk about the investment process used on the recovery fund and suggest that it is the pioneer special sits fund.

James Harries, manager of the soon to be launched Newton global higher-income fund, will discuss plans for the fund.

Schroders director of structured investment Thomas See will discuss how he bel-ieves the Schroders income maximiser fund should provide a high initial yield with income and capital growth.
