FTSE falls back

Man Group was the biggest faller in the FTSE100 this morning after the blue-chip index fell back due to a broad based sell-off.

At 12:44, the FTSE had fallen by 1.11 per cent to 4364.83 with Man Group falling 5.5 per cent. Other leading fallers included Schroders, Balfour Beatty and Prudential.

Cairn Energy made the biggest gains in early trades having risen by 2.44 per cent.



Merricks looks for FOS reform

Financial Ombudsman Service chief ombudsman Walter Merricks has admitted that the “wider system” of complaints handling is not working.
