European markets have risen in morning trades on Monday as they look to bounce back from last week’s losses.
At 11.11, the FTSE 100 was up 0.4 per cent to stand at 5288.76. The German Dax and the French Cac 40 were up 0.7 and 0.2 per cent.
Man Group has made the biggest gain in the FTSE 100 with its share price rising more than 6 per cent. The increase follows the news that the firm is to acquire specialist hedge fund research and investment manager FRM Holdings.
The FTSE 100 fell by over 5 per cent last week amid continued concerns over Greece and Spain.
