FSSC appoints two new board members

The Financial Services Skills Council has appointed two new members to its board.

Director of Jupiter Unit Trust Managers Paula Moore FS3 founder and managing director Mike Godfrey will join the board from July 2007.

Moore is responsible for Jupiter’s unit trust operations and client accounting.

She worked as a chartered accountant, working in Ernst & Young’s corporate advisory group before joining Apax Partners, before joining Jupiter in 1997 to work on the insourcing of the unit trust operations from a third party provider.

Godfrey has worked in financial services since 1978 and progressed through the industry, holding a senior role at Robert Flemings prior to setting up FS3 in 1999.

He is both a certified financial planner and a chartered financial planner, moving FS3 into an award-winning fee-based employee benefit and wealth management practice, winning Bankhall Member of the Year 2006.

The two will replace board members David Milner and Jane Petkovic, who reached the end of their terms this month.

FSSC chairman Stuart Bernau says: “Employers have always been pivotal to the work of the Skills Council, but are now taking centre stage in national skills provision across all sectors. I am delighted that, with the appointment of Mike and Paula, the FSSC is continuing its commitment to having a wide range of employers represented on the board.”
