FSA’s Severn to become new Aifa head

Former FSA head of retail investments policy David Severn is to take the role of director-general of the Association of IFAs. Severn takes over the role vacated by Paul Smee who stepped down this week.

Association of Mortgage Intermediaries director Chris Cummings becomes deputy director-general of Aifa while Fay Goddard who is acting director-general in the hand-over period remains director of policy.
