FSA to change fee tarif for IFAs

The FSA has released details of its fees and fee strategy for 2004/05.
Consultation Paper “04/02: Fees and Fee Policy” has confirmed that the regulator
will change its fee structure for A12 and A13 type firms — IFAs — to a turnover
based tarif rather than the present registered individual system in 2005/06.
The total tarif base for A.12 firms has dropped from 1,879 to 1,797 which has
accounted for a small increase in frees however for the bulk of IFAs (group A13)
there has been no increase.
