FSA sets up online progress returns facility

The FSA is giving around 1,500 IFA firms, with less than 50 cases in their FSAVC review populations, the option to submit their ongoing progress returns online, via a password-protected database.

The regulator says the online process mirrors the paper-based reporting process but will save firms time as there is no need to re-key the information that is repeated across multiple returns.

It also means that they have a record of their cases that they can update when they want to, as often as they want to, at their convenience.
