FSA reluctant to ease restrictions on providers investing in IFAs

The FSA says it is reluctant to liberalise the rules governing provider shareholdings in IFAs.
Head of investment business policy David Severn told the packed London polarisation meeting the regulator was concerned that easing the rules to allow greater investment in intermediaries could create a perception that advisers were multi-ties.
