FSA issues warning over insurer Bridgewater House UK Ltd

The Financial Services Authority has issued a warning over insurance company Bridgewater House UK Ltd.

The regulator is warning customers of the Manchester-based firm, which arranged life insurance, critical illness or accident, sickness and unemployment insurance, that policies may lapse because customers’ premiums have not been passed to the insurer.

The FSA is now urging policyholders whose insurance premiums were previously being paid by Bridgewater House to contact the insurance company with whom their policy is held to ensure that valid insurance cover is in place.
