FSA delays decision on misselling costs and inherited estates

The FSA has delayed its decision on whether life offices will continue to be able to pay misselling costs from inherited estates until the first quarter of next year.

The regulator had anticipated making a policy statement on the issue by the end of this year.

But a spokesman says: “Due to the extensive number of responses to the consultation we will not be publishing a policy statement until Q1 next year.”

Survey looks at the challenges facing businesses post auto-enrolment

A survey conducted by Johnson Fleming at the Pension & Benefits Show 2014 highlighted the key challenges faced within organisations post auto-enrolment. The results showed that communicating the changes and the value of them to staff, and receiving timely data from the payroll provider proved to still be the most challenging aspects of managing an auto-enrolment scheme.
