FSA appoints new mortgages chief

The FSA has appointed Mandy Spink as head of mortgages and credit unions in the regulator’s small firms division.

Spink, who begins her new role on February 26, replaces Michael Lord who has been appointed head of the retail management support unit.

She has 15 years experience of financial services regulation and currently leads the retail intermediaries sector team, which has responsibility for identifying new and emerging retail trends and risks in mortgage, general insurance and financial advice firms.
