FSA appoints Graham Halliday as retail banking adviser

The FSA has announced the appointment of a new part-time senior advisor, Graham Halliday, who will advise the regulator on retail banking issues.

Halliday has 37 years experience in banking, mainly at Natwest where he was a regional managing director.

Most recently he was director of strategy and business affairs at Monitise and was also director of banking and financial services at the Post Office.

FSA chief executive Hector Sants says: “Graham will bring a wealth of knowledge to the FSA.

“This is a further example of our commitment to have the right mix of people working at the FSA, combining those with regulatory experience and those with strong commercial backgrounds.”
