Frudd to build financial services business at law firm

Commercial law firm Beachcroft Wansbrough has appointed former Scottish Amicable group legal director Nigel Frudd as head of financial services, a new position created to develop the firm&#39s financial services business.

Frudd has worked previously at St James&#39s Place International and as a corporate financial partner at chartered accountant Robson Rhodes.

Partner Simon Hodson believes Frudd&#39s appointment is important for the law firm, which is seeking to build a reputation as a leading adviser to the financial services industry. Last year, it launched Beachcroft Wansbroughs Consulting to offers non-legal regulatory advice.

Hodson says: “Frudd brings with him a distinct range of expertise and an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the legal and commercial issues facing the industry.”

Frudd says: “There is a clear opportunity for legal advisers to the industry. It has seen unprecedented change in recent years both on the regulatory and commercial front and this is likely to continue well into the future.”
