Friends Provident appoints new director of marketing

James Ward has been appointed Friends Provident director of marketing.

He will report to managing director of marketing and UK distribution Simon Clamp and will be responsible for overseeing marketing across the Friends Provident UK product range.

Ward joined the firm in 2004 as director of risk and had been the acting director of marketing since November 2005.

Prior to this he was a senior consultant at PA Consulting Group.

Clamp says: “We are delighted to announce the appointment of James as director of marketing. James not only brings with him a wealth of experience in financial services markets around the world, but also a wide range of skills in business strategy, marketing, financial analysis, IT development and large-scale project management.”
