Friends gains Standards accreditation

Friends Provident has become the latest company to gain accreditation under the Pensions Protection Investments Accreditation Board&#39s Raising Standards scheme.

PPIAB says the move means that one-third of the pensions, life and long-term savings market has now gained accreditation. It hopes this figure will hit 50 per cent by the end of the year.

Among the nine companies which have already joined the scheme are Scottish Equitable, Norwich Union, Scottish Widows, Prudential and CIS.
