Foster Denovo hires ex-regulator as compliance boss

McTigue managed FCA relationships with two UK life assurance groups.

National advice firm Foster Denovo has appointed FCA lead associate Jane McTigue as compliance and risk director.

McTigue managed FCA relationships with two UK life assurance groups and other advisory companies.

She previously spent 18 years at St James’s Place, leaving as field risk director in 2012.

Foster Denovo chief executive Roger Brosch says: “Jane’s addition to the executive will further strengthen and complete the team.

“She has an excellent track record of leading regulatory teams and is also extremely knowledgeable of the regulator’s requirements.”

McTigue says: “Foster Denovo is an exciting business to be joining at this time, and I was keen to be given the opportunity to help take the company forward in the post-RDR world.”

Concept Financial Planning managing director Paul Richardson says: “Foster Denovo probably feels it is a bit of a comfort blanket having a former FCA employee as head of compliance. She should have a good understanding of all the rules and regulations and the firm obviously believes she will get them in tip-top shape.”
