Forum sets up debates on industry marketing

An initiative to debate the future of financial services marketing starts

next month.

The Financial Services Forum is being set up with the co-operation of

senior mar-keting professionals throughout the industry.

A number of events will be held during the year aimed at providing an

insight into the direction that financial marketing is taking.

The first event, being held at the Bloomberg Auditorium in London on July

5, looks at the role of advertising in creating financial services brands.

Chairman of the Financial Services Forum advisory board Anthony Thomson

says: “Although a significant proportion of marketing spend in the UK is in

the financial sec-tor, there is no single body dedicated to helping

dev-elop marketing excellence in the sector. We believe the FS Forum can

help by providing insights.”
