Former SEI and Ascentric director joins Succession

Former SEI and Ascentric marketing director Richard Goodall has joined Succession as non-executive director.

The consolidator runs its own white-label version of the IFDL platform run by platform services director Simon Taylor. IFDL is part of Ascentric, owned by Royal London.

Succession says Goodall will work alongside Taylor on developing the platform.

Goodall joined SEI from Ascentric in 2011 but in February he left the firm to join Parmenion where he is a partner in the firm.

Goodall says: “Having worked with Succession to develop the original platform, I have admired the rapid development of their proposition as platform owners.  I am thrilled to once again become formally involved in the business.

“The platform market is fragmenting with fewer operators offering a full open architecture model, like Succession, leading to reduced choice for clients. I look forward to playing a full part in ensuring the business, and the advisers using the platform benefit fully from the opportunities arising from regulatory reform, consumer behaviour and auto-enrolment.”
