Former Platform director David Tweedy joins Ulster Bank

Former Platform director David Tweedy has joined Ulster Bank as the director of its arrears support unit.

Tweedy, who joined Ulster Bank earlier this week, is responsible for the mortgage collections and recoveries activity in the Republic of Ireland. The role was created as part of a restructure within the bank’s risk division.

Tweedy left Co-operative Bank lending subsidiary Platform in May after 13 years service.

In March this year he was placed on secondment to another role within the Co-operative Bank, where he worked on the bank’s bid for the 630 Lloyds Banking Group branches up for sale.

Prior to his second stint at Platform – his first was between 1993 and 1997 as it’s chief executive – Tweedy was the executive director of operations and IT for specialist lender The Money Store.
