Former Northern Rock FD joins JO Hambro

Former Northern Rock finance director Bob Bennett has joined JO Hambro Capital Management Group as its first independent non-executive director.

Bennett retired from Northern Rock in January this year after more than 13 years with the company.

In his non-executive directorship at JOHCM he will be responsible for helping the company develop and grow.

JOHCM chairman Jamie Hambro says: “We’re delighted to welcome Bob as our first independent director. His FTSE-100 experience will be invaluable to us as we continue to develop and grow our business. In addition to his finance director experience he was also a former trustee of a FTSE-100 pension scheme.”

Bennett says; ”I look forward to working with JOHCM as a non-executive director and together with the Board will focus on ensuring JOHCM maintains the highest standards of corporate governance as it continues with its growth plans”.

Bennett begins his role on 1 September 2007.

JOHCM has £4.9 billion assets under management, with an increasing contribution from its institutional business.
