Former Miton distribution head joins Charles Stanley

Charles Stanley has appointed former Miton distribution director Graham Hooper as head of distribution. He will join the firm on 1 July and report to group director Mike Lilwall.

Hooper left Miton in March following the sale of Miton’s Liverpool-based fund business to Seneca Partners Group. Prior to Miton he was head of marketing for Bestinvest and marketing director for Chase de Vere.

Lilwall said: “I am delighted that Graham has chosen to join Charles Stanley Group at a very busy time for the divisions that he will be assisting.

“In particular, his relevant skills in the direct-to-consumer space should greatly assist our Charles Stanley Direct platform.”

Yellowtail Financial Planning managing director Dennis Hall says this could be a good hire for the firm. “Charles Stanley needs to build relationships. So it needs someone out there pressing the flesh, talking to key accounts and creating new ones. There is only so much you can do via advertising,” he says.
