Former Cofunds chief Williams joins private equity firm

Former Skandia and Cofunds chief executive Brett Williams has joined private equity firm Lime Tree Investment Partners as a founder partner.

Williams founded the investment platform Selestia in 2001 before going on to become Skandia UK chief executive and then Cofunds chief executive in 2008. He quit Cofunds in July 2010.

Williams joins the firm alongside specialist investment provider Future Capital Partners directors Tim Levy, Tim West and Neil Lewis who are joining as founding partners.

William’s role will be to develop and promote the Lime Tree business and take responsibility for distribution at Future Capital Partners, which Lime Tree has a stake in.

Future Capital Partners is a founding shareholder of the Novia wrap, which is led by former Selestia director Bill Vasilieff.

Williams joined Insynergy investment management as a non-executive director in September.

Future Capital Partners focuses on the design and promotion of alternative investments to individuals and companies, through financial advisers.

Lime Tree Investment Partners LLP invests in and facilitates the development of companies across the financial services, clean technology, real estate, biotechnology and entertainment sectors.
