Former Cofunds BDM joins Allfunds

Platform provider Allfunds has appointed Cofunds business development manager Bradley Lewis as head of sales and relationship management for the UK and Ireland.

Lewis will work under Allfunds head of UK and Ireland Stephen Mohan who joined from Cofunds at the end of April.

Lewis had been put on gardening leave by Cofunds. He began his career with CrestCo, which was then acquired by Euroclear, where he became a sales and relationship manager.

Allfunds Bank administers £10bn of assets across 20 clients in the UK. It operates mainly in the institutional space but says it is looking to expand its UK operation.

Mohan says: “Bradley’s appointment is an important development in the strengthening of our UK team. I worked very closely with Bradley in the past and value his capabilities which will be central to the development of our business in London.

“I am very pleased he shares my vision for Allfunds and am delighted to be back working with him.”

Cofunds was acquired by Legal and General in May in a deal which sparked a number of senior departures. In addition to Mohan, chairman Charlie Eppinger, chief executive Martin Davis, and director of marketing Verona Smith all left the platform.

Cofunds chief executive Chris Last, who was appointed to replace Davis, announced his retirement last month. Cofunds managing director David Hobbs, who joined from Suffolk Life in May, has been named as the new Cofunds chief executive.

Tony Wickenden: Downton Abbey lessons on will writing

The Sunday night Downton fest and the preceding X Factor competition represents a juxtaposition that may, at first sight, seem strange and then on reflection be appreciated as being somewhat aligned. One has affected voices, histrionics, desperation and tears and the other is the X Factor. I appreciate that I am way behind the journalistic curve by referencing Downton though. […]

How QE is distorting the gilt market

By Mike Riddell The moves in gilts in August were truly exceptional. Volatility in the gilt market (based off 10-year gilt futures) has soared to close to the highest levels seen this millennium, on a par with the eurozone debt crisis of 2011/12 and behind only the global financial crisis of 2008/09. The first distortion […]
