Former B&B commercial director joins HML

Andy Wiggans, the former commercial director at Bradford & Bingley, has joined mortgage outsourcing firm HML as its chief commercial officer.

He replaces Ian Cornelius who recently moved to HML’s parent group Skipton Building Society.

With over 20 years of experience in financial services, before B&B Wiggans worked at HBOS and Cornerstone Estate Agents and will assume responsibility for HML’s sales, marketing and client relations teams as the organisation pursues growth.

When B&B was absorbed by the government Wiggans became commercial director at UKAR, the state-backed institution charged with running down £80bn of assets originating from the nationalised parts of B&B and Northern Rock.

HML chief executive Andrew Jones says: “I’m pleased to have someone of Wiggans’s calibre in the market on board. He brings proven commercial focus to our client and prospect disciplines and his value-led approach will resonate with our business partners.”
