Fof firms go on the road

Two of the UK&#39s leading fund of fund managers – Credit Suisse Asset Management and ABN Amro&#39s premier funds – are hitting the road this autumn to sell their message to IFAs.

Credit Suisse is holding 17 events from October 14 to October 24 in venues across England and Wales, hosted by joint heads of the multi-manager team Gary Potter and Rob Burdett.

ABN is running 20 roadshows, starting this week in Glamorgan and ending in Farnham, Surrey on December 10.

It will focus on building informal relationships between the managers and IFAs. Led by investment director of the premier funds service Aidan Kearney, IFAs will be led through the five defined investment strategies offered – growth, balanced, conservative, international and ethical.

CSAM managing director Ian Chimes says: “In this bear market, it has become important for IFAs and investors to be able to seek the ultimate diversification, not just by country, sector or style but also by fund management group.”

Kearney says: “We will be using the workshops to look at fund of funds in greater depth and as an opportunity to demonstrate how the premier funds service can add true value to client investment strategy.”
