Focus appoints new BDD

Focus Solutions has appointed David Brooks as business development director to take responsibility for sales, marketing and business development.

Brooks joins from the financial services division of Vertex where he held the position of BDD for the mortgages business unit, focusing on sales, account management, marketing and business consulting.

He brings nearly 20 years experience within the IT industry, spending time in the financial services, local government and manufacturing verticals.

Brooks says: “Focus is a very innovative technology company, with an impressive client list across the life, pensions and mortgage market. I look forward to utilising my previous experience of working with large financial services institutions to help Focus re-vitalise their propositions and further develop its business across both existing and new vertical markets.”

Focus Solutions chief executive Richard Stevenson says: “David’s new appointment supports Focus’ strategy as we move into a challenging new phase of our development, building larger, more sophisticated, enterprise wide technology solutions for global financial organisations. David is well known within the financial services industry and brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience.”
