Guernsey’s Parliament has elected Howard Flight, Rosemary Radcliffe and Susie Farnon to its Financial Services Commission.
The States of Guernsey has appointed the three financial services experts to its regulatory body. They will together work to ensure international regulatory standards are met.
Flight is a former Conservative MP and a director at Investec Asset Management. Farnon is former partner at KPMG in Guernsey and Radcliffe is former chief economic adviser at PricewaterhouseCoopers and is an adviser to the UK Government.
Peter Harwood has been elected chairman of the Commission, taking over from John Hallam in February 2006.
Guernsey chief minister Laurie Morgan says: We are delighted that three such high-calibre individuals have agreed to join the Guernsey Financial Services Commission. Guernsey is in the premier division of international finance centres and the appointment of these Commissioners reflects the high standards with which we regulate our finance industry. The wealth of experience of the sector that all three bring to these roles will serve Guernsey and its finance sector well.”
