Flight appointed chairman of the EISA

Former Conservative MP Howard Flight has been appointed chairman of the Enterprise Investment Scheme Association.
The EISA is responsible for raising awareness and promoting the benefits of the EIS among the adviser and investor community.
Flight was previously deputy chairman and special envoy to the city for the Tories and before that shadow chief secretary to the Treasury. He was sacked by Michael Howard in the run up to the General Election for comments regarding the potential for future government revenue savings.
EISA executive director Peter Woodrow says: “We are delighted to welcome Howard as our new chairman. His appointment comes at an important time for the association. While the benefits of EIS investing are well known amongst experienced advisers and investors, we now see a significant opportunity to raise awareness amongst a broader cross-section of the investment community.”
