First time buyers double

The housing market remained steady last month but the number of first time buyers on the market doubled last month according to data released by the National Association of Estate Agents.

The number of first time buyers per estate agency rose from an average of 10.1 per cent in February to 22.3 per cent in March. For the second month in a row the annual change in property prices was marginal, with prices less than 0.5 per cent higher than they were at the start of the year.
