First British president for MDRT in 73 years

Bristol IFA Tony Gordon has been appointed the first Brit-

ish president of global fin-

ancial adviser support organisation The Million Dollar Round Table.

This is the first time in the organisation&#39s 73-year history that an individual from outside the US or Canada has taken the top position.

Gordon is co-founder of

IFA Redcliffe Associates and has been a member of the MDRT for 23 years.

He held the presidency of the UK Life Insurance Association between from 1984/5.

Illinois-based MDRT works to represent the business and community views of 23,000

life insurance-based sales

professionals from more than 60 countries and aims to raise standards in the industry.

Gordon says: “I see my election to president not only as a personal honour but as a reflection of both the strength of

my own company and the

UK financial services industry in general.

“I plan to use the oppor-

tunity to promote not just the benefits of the industry worldwide but also help members learn from each other in order to better serve their clients

and the communities in which they live.”
