Firms offered support in run up to N2

Compliance communication specialist Easy i is offering a training and competence management service to ease the pressure on financial services companies leading up to N2.

Easy i says it is offering the service to take the weight off the shoulders of compliance officers tasked with implementing the stringent employee training and competence requirements of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000.

It will allow companies to choose from a range of its services on a short-term consultancy basis or on a wholly outsourced management basis.

Its services include audits on existing training and compliance arrangements, the development and implementation of appropriate training programmes, record-keeping and full project management.

The service is being supported by the launch of Easy i&#39s Compliance Matters, an interactive web-based employee training course developed around the new Act.

Chief executive Terry Hancock says: “Our clients are finding that the new FSA requirements are making heavy demands on them. Our service will enable financial services organisations to first ensure that their staff think compliance and act compliance and, second, avoid any problems that arise from failing to comply by the December deadline.”

At the FSA&#39s open meeting on polarisation, it was argued that regulation focusing on making the existing market work is missing the point. The greatest gains, it was claimed, will be achieved by raising the level of retirement savings and this should be one of the primary objectives of regulation. This is plausible but is […]
