Find your way through the income drawdown maze

Winterthur Life is running a series of seminars and is setting up a dedicated IFA website to guide advisers through the income drawdown maze.

The theme of the marketing initiative is Simply Drawdown and the new website can be found at

The Simply Drawdown seminars are taking place in 12 cities across England, Scotland and Northern Ireland with over 1,000 IFAs expected to attend.

They aim to explain new opportunities for IFAs to build on sales opportunities around income draw-down by positioning it as an investment vehicle rather than just a pension product.

A Credit Suisse fund manager will provide an insight into the UK equities market and Exeter Funds Managers will explain the role of other asset classes in a portfolio.

Winterthur pensions strategy manager Mike Morrison will give a drawdown technical update using relevant case studies.

The website aims to provide up-to-date and effective support on products, technical aspects and fund information.

Winterthur Life group sales and marketing director Mike Kellard says: “Income drawdown is among the fastest growing of all financial products.

“At first sight, the technicalities may seem daunting but in reality the opportunities for IFAs to build their business are too enticing to miss.”
