Financial Express is aiming for wrap deals

Financial Express is in talks with wrap providers over the use of its data services and other products.

Head of marketing and communication Paul Wynne says the company’s data is already used by all the fund supermarkets and it hopes to be able to provide a wider service for wraps.

Financial Express is thought to be in talks with all the major wrap providers, including Skandia, with the exception of American Express which has a worldwide deal with S&P.

Skandia e-business manager Alison Everett says:”We are currently working with a range of different firms with regard to the data that our wrap will contain. Nothing has been signed and no decision has been made although we would like to keep everything regarding the provision of data under one roof.”

Wynne says: “We are dealing with half a dozen companies to create an added-value service. We can provide data of a range that is not covered by anyone else.”
