Fifth issue of National Savings bond

National Savings and Investments&#39 is launching the fifth issue of its Treasury-backed guaranteed equity bond, which has attracted more than £300m in previous issues since launch last year.

The five-year bond offers investors one for one growth in the FTSE 100 up to a maximum of 65 per cent gross.

There is no downside protection limit – investors receive 100 per cent of capital back regardless of the FTSE&#39s performance.

The bond is open between May 6 and June 16.
