Aim: Growth by investing mainly in funds providing exposure tobonds and cash, with some exposure to equities, property and commodities

Minimum investment: Lump sum £1,000, monthly £50

Investment split: 65 to 100% in cash and bonds, up to 35% in equities, commodities and property

MPC was unanimous in holding base rate

All nine members of the Bank of England’s monetary policy committee voted unanimously in favour of maintaining the base rate at 0.5 per cent and continuing with the £200bn quantitative easing programme.
