Fidelity CIO Nicky Richards resigns

Fidelity International chief investment officer Nicky Richards is leaving the firm after four years.

Richards joined Fidelity in June 2006 as CIO for European equities before taking on the role of group CIO a year later. She was previously working for Schroders Investment Management.

Fidelity is now conducting a search for its successor. A spokeswoman for the firm has confirmed that Robert Higginbotham, FIL’s president & CEO for Europe, will take direct responsibility for the investment division while the search for a successor is in progress.
