Fidelity Brokerage shuts deal desk

Fidelity Brokerage Services is closing down its institutional dealing desk following a strategic business review of its operations.

The review was conducted by Giles Vardey who will step down as chief executive on January 15 next year although he will continue to work as a consultant to the company.
