FE adds structured products to Analytics

FE has added structured products to its FE Analytics software.

Advisers have the option to create a table report of all available structured products or filter by those that are open or closed.

The report provides information on each product such as provider, type of product, term and offer close. Results can be ordered by different parameters to help advisers compare products.

A factsheet is available for each product, which contains links to related documents such as application forms, key features, other products from that provider, product descriptions and provider contact information.

Advisers can export the table to all available formats including PDF and MS Excel.

FE says the move comes in response to adviser demand.

FE Analytics product manager Shaun Bather says: “With the RDR approaching fast, adding structured products to FE Analytics is another step towards providing a whole of market view.”

Create Wealth Management managing director Stephen Ng says: “We are users of analytics and anything that expands its offering has to be a good thing. Anything that allows us to filter products in a way that is ultimately beneficial for clients is helpful.”

Aviva and Pru pledge to review pension exit fees

Aviva and Prudential will review the exit fees charged on old pension policies following pressure from industry experts and politicians. Skandia says it has no plans to scrutinise its back book, arguing that the terms of the contract were “fully disclosed” when these products were sold. Aviva UK Life chief executive David Barral says: “We […]

Nic Cicutti: Self-righteous ABI is not on your side

If there is one thing that marks out all human beings, it is that we want to feel what we do every day helps others. The idea that we are simply governed by a need to make money at the expense of someone else is not something any of us will readily admit to. Which […]

What's going on in the 'offshore' world?

Graeme Robb, Senior Technical Manager at Prudential, explores the current state of the nation for offshore issues and highlights areas which may be particularly relevant to advisers. In the context of insurance companies, ‘offshore’ can be a relatively straightforward matter. Like their onshore equivalent, offshore bonds are ‘non-qualifying’ for tax purposes, meaning that all gains […]

There is one comment at the moment, we would love to hear your opinion too.

  1. It’s really good to see FE Analytics displaying information on structured products. However, they don’t seem to be covering the market particularly well – they are only showing 21 currently open products, shows that are significantly more products and a wider range of providers than are appearing in their analysis.
