What’s the IHT position on final salary transfers?

I have been running various adviser events around the country over the last few weeks and a regular question has arisen connected to the rising numbers of final salary transfers. What is the inheritance tax position, especially if the transfer is driven by the desire for better death benefits and the customer is in relatively […]

There is one comment at the moment, we would love to hear your opinion too.

  1. Having viewed the questions and starting to respond I got the impression that they were all loaded questions as they were rolling all the topics out anyway. It came across as they were trying to justify their own existance & agenda, with no respite to the volume of regulatory guff already implemented.

So sorry but I downed tools due to my previous experiance of wasted hours on FSA/FCA requests for industry imput across all areas which they always appear to ignore. The regulatory burden continues to become greater so the responses appear to make no noticeable changes or reduction in our regulatory burden & costs. So you just have to say whats the point!

It appears to be yet another case of them offering lip service to the accusations of being a non transparent, out of touch regulatory leviathan.
