FCA director of life insurance and financial advice Linda Woodall has stepped down from the regulator.
The FCA has confirmed to Money Marketing that Woodall left over the Christmas period.
The regulator understands she intends to retire. A replacement has yet to be appointed.
From 2015 until she left she was also acting director of retail and supervision authorities.
From 2013 until March 2015 she was director of mortgages and consumer lending.
At the FCA’s predecessor, the Financial Services Authority, Woodall was head of investment intermediaries from 2008 until 2012.
She first joined the regulator in 2001 following completion of an MBA. Her career up to that date comprised of leadership and management roles in sectors including manufacture, logistics, healthcare and accountancy.
