FCA department heads promoted in management shake-up

The FCA is promoting three heads of departments to director level and considering bringing in new heads of department in underneath them.

Head of specialist supervision Nausicaa Delfas is now director of specialist supervision, head of general insurance and protection Simon Green becomes director of general insurance and protection, and head of savings, investments and distribution policy David Geale has been named director of policy.

The FCA says it will be up to the directors to decide whether to appoint new heads of department within their own division.

It says that if they do, this will “increase senior management capacity” to deliver against the FCA’s supervisory and policy agendas.

  1. Want to promote your buddies just create another layer of management on the gravy train.

  2. Does nobody in power see what is going on here? Or do they just not care?

  3. Julian Stevens 30th July 2014 at 4:49 pm

The problem is that nobody in power gives a toss, whilst those who do give a toss have no power.

  4. As the FCA budget does not get squeezed out of central funding the MPs do not care one fig.

As fines go towards reducing the central budget the MPs delight in being able to simultaneously point out what a great job the FCA does in bringing bad beasts to heel whilst slavering over the fact that it frees up resource for their political ambitions.

Brilliantly designed and not a soul to blame

  5. Nausicaa Delfas – is that an anagram ?

  6. Dare I say it ? And hope all IFAs will forgive me

    Bring back the FSA

At least the FSA were open and honest about putting all of us in a barrel and shooting us, this lot are just in it for the torture and pain, just like some master of a medieval dungeon, thumb screws, the rack, red hot pokers, tar and feathers every conceivable method of extraction and pain is allowable

Oh and yes we have to pay the buggers wages !!!
